Frequently Asked Questions
Click a topic to expand. Each answer is field-tested through real mail and class practice.
Do I need a glue gun or can I use spoon pours?
Both work. We teach spoon pours for maximum control and glue-gun wax for speed. Beginners often start with spoon pours to learn temperature and volume, then adopt a glue gun for batches.
Will my seals survive the mail?
Yes with the right prep. We cover envelope fibers, backing stickers, and protective placement to reduce cracking. Hand-canceling and flat mailers further improve outcomes.
What basic tools should I have?
A stamp head with handle, wax (beads or sticks), a small spoon, heat source, scrap paper, and a soft cloth. Optional: silicone mat, metallic leaf, and pressed botanicals.
Can I create my own monogram or crest?
Absolutely. Our monogram planning module helps you choose letterforms and spacing. We also discuss commissioning custom stamps and testing impressions before bulk projects.
How long are classes and do I get recordings?
Most classes are 2–6 hours with optional replays depending on format. The catalog lists duration and whether sessions are live, recorded, or studio-based.
Do you provide certificates?
We offer a completion badge for select multi-session tracks. It’s a friendly acknowledgment of practice, not an accreditation program.
Are materials included?
Courses list whether a small kit is included. Many modules use simple household items to reduce cost and keep things cozy and accessible.
Can I gift a class?
Yes. Purchase any course and note “gift” at checkout; we’ll email a printable note with instructions for the recipient to join.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. All studio kits and stamp heads ship worldwide with tracked options. Delivery averages 6–12 days depending on destination and customs.
What if my wax cracks during practice?
Cracking is normal while learning temperature. Each course includes troubleshooting videos showing how to rescue batches, reheat, and adjust pour height for cleaner seals.
